Masters of the Queen Pawn Openings
The World Chess Championship match may be in full flow, but on Tuesday (3/12/24) we held a slightly less serious competition. For our “first Tuesday of the month” social event we ran a themed tournament based around 1.d4 openings. It was played over four rounds with a different starting positions, all from queen’s pawn opening.
John Tompson came out as king of the queen pawn pushers with a 100% 4/4. The final standings are given below.
